Humulin® (Humulin insulin[rDNA origin])

Humulin is used by more than 4 million people with diabetes around the world every day.¹ Despite its name, this insulin does not come from human beings! It is identical in chemical structure to human insulin and is made in a factory using a chemical process called recombinant DNA technology.

Types of Humulin
Certain types of Humulin are available in both a vial and a disposable Prefilled Pen. This will help if you're looking for a convenient way to take your Humulin® 70/30 or Humulin® N.

Important Safety Information
Potential side effects associated with the use of all insulins include low blood sugar, weight gain, low blood potassium, changes in fat tissue at the site of injection, and allergic reactions, both general and local. Starting or changing insulin therapy should be done cautiously and only under medical supervision.

See product information for important information about Humulin. Humulin® is a registered trademark of Eli Lilly and Company.
